Introduction
The Authentication page in Bot Studio is designed for ease and speed, allowing you to log into your account or create a new one without unnecessary hassle. We prioritize providing a fast and efficient experience, so there's no need to enter extra personal details like your name, address, or phone number.
Authentication Process
Input Fields
The authentication page features two input fields:
- Email Address: Enter your email address.
- Password: Enter your password.
Most browsers can store these credentials automatically, so you may not need to enter them manually every time.
Incorrect Email or Forgot Password
- Incorrect Email: If you entered your email incorrectly, update it from the settings page.
- Forgot Password: If you've forgotten your password, visit the authentication page and click on the "Reset Password" link to reset your password.
Lost Credentials
If you've lost your email address and password, or cannot reset your password, contact our support team for assistance.
Remember Me Option
By default, the "Remember me" option is checked. This will remember your browser for 30 days. If you're using a public computer, it is recommended to disable this option to enhance security. If unchecked, your session will only last for one day.
Account Creation and Login
After entering your email and password, click on the "Signup / Signin" button to create a new account or log into an existing one.
Important Notes
- Disposable Emails: If your email address is from a domain listed in the disposable emails list, you will not be able to create an account.
- Password Requirements: Your password must be at least 6 characters long. There are no restrictions on the characters you can use, so it's recommended to choose a strong password. Allowing your browser to suggest a strong password is advisable.
Security Measures
- Password Storage: Your password is stored in a secure, split database and is encoded in a format that cannot be reversed to plain text. It is only used for the authentication process and is never transferred between clients or servers.
- Account Removal: If your account was scheduled for removal, logging in will cancel the removal until it is rescheduled.
- Session Management: Only one session can be active at a time; logging in from a new browser will replicate the existing session. Logging out will terminate all sessions.
Session Expiry
- Client Session: Stored as cookies and expires after one day.
- Server Session: It remains active until there is no activity for 30 days.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure a secure and efficient authentication process with Bot Studio.
